Swedish-based Zambia national team winger Edward Chilufya has expressed happiness with his return to the national team set up.
Chilufya who is making a return to the Chipolopolo Boys set up for the first time since October 2020 during the friendly match against Kenya says he is happy to be back because he enjoys representing his country and working hard for the nation.
“First and foremost I thank God to be part of the national team it’s not an easy thing. I am happy to be here and represent my country,” he said.
“I am happy to be back, I love playing for the national team and fighting for my country,” he added.
Chilufya is expecting a tough game against Mauritania tomorrow but he is confident of a positive result.
“The game won’t be easy we just need to work hard and work together. Away games are tough to win but we must come back with at least a point,” he said.
“We just need to win the game against Tunisia which is a home game. We need to win all three games. To the fans just come and support us and we will work hard so that we bring good results,” he added.
Zambia plays Mauritania on Friday at the Olympic Stadium in Nouakchott before hosting Tunisia four days later in Ndola at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.
